If you’re new to vaping, you may be wondering if disposable vapes are safe. There is a lot of information on the market about the safety of vaping, and a lot of it is ever-changing. Let’s distill some of the information and misconceptions about the safety of disposables.

WHAT ARE DISPOSABLE VAPES?

Disposable vape pens are devices designed to be used for a short term and then tossed away. They come pre-filled and pre-charged so you don’t have to worry about adding liquid or the battery dying. (most newer devices can charge for longer usage!) We consider these products hassle-free—simply grab and vape!

These disposables are ideal for new vapers who want to test out vapes to see what they like. They’re also great for people who are trying to kick their smoking habit and want to transition away from traditional cigarettes

HOW SAFE ARE DISPOSABLE VAPING PRODUCTS?

If you’re ready to try vaping but aren’t sure about its safety, rest assured that disposable vapes are just as safe as regular vape products.

There are several misconceptions about vape products, including:

MISCONCEPTION #1: VAPES CONTAIN HARMFUL CHEMICALS

Research shows that vapes are much less harmful than tobacco products. Traditional tobacco cigarettes contain harmful ingredients such as tobacco, tar, or carbon monoxide.

Vapes, however, are made up of flavorings, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, and nicotine when listed.

Overall, the ingredients in tobacco products and smoking combusted material is much more harmful than what’s in vape products.

MISCONCEPTION #2: VAPES CAN EXPLODE IN YOUR FACE

While it is technically true that a disposable vape can explode, the same is true for any type of device that contains a battery (like a cell phone, earbuds, laptop/tablet, etc.).

If you treat your device with care and common sense, there should be no risk for a disposable vape exploding in your face. Don’t mistreat your device by throwing it in a fire, submerging it in water, altering the battery, etc. and you should be fine.

MISCONCEPTION #3: VAPE PRODUCTS DON’T LIST THEIR INGREDIENTS

If you visit a vape shop that sells products without a list of ingredients, you should turn around and find a different provider.

Reputable companies always list vape juice ingredients on the label of their products. Only sketchy companies eliminate the product label, so be aware of this as you visit a vape shop.

SHOULD YOU PURCHASE A DISPOSABLE VAPE?

As stated above, disposable vaping devices are just as safe as any other type of vape product available on the market.

If you’re still unsure whether to purchase a disposable vape pen (or any other vaping device), you should first do your own research on their safety and make a decision for yourself.

We believe that vaping products are a safer alternative for adult smokers transitioning away from cigarette smoking, but you must make the decision for yourself.
